What is Rock Climbing?
How many times have you seen that dot on a rock face and thought "You wouldn't get me up there!" - You might surprise yourself, rock climbing is not as hard as you think. Why not join
and experience rock climbing at its very best!
Climbing is a great sport and there are many rock climbing venues around Coniston but with the increase in popularity of rock climbing, promoted through social media platforms, these venues tend to get overrun and neglected.
As we want you to get the most out of your time with us,
have created our very own outdoor climbing and abseiling venue with a mix of man made and natural rock holds and a ten metre abseil wall, its private so you will get it to yourselves! This is located at our woodland target sports venue at Torver, just 10 minutes drive from Coniston.

Reviews for Climbing
Climbing and gorge scrambling.
We had an amazing day climbing and gorge scrambling with Adventure 21! Kety was wonderful throughout the booking process and in organising our activities. She really took the time to make sure we were doing things which suited us and our abilities. Paul our instructor was brilliant! He was incredibly patient and informative, talking through everything in detail and making sure the day was fun and challenging. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!

Rock climbing near Coniston
A fantastic introduction to climbing for me and my 8 year old son. Dave, our teacher, was brilliant - clearly knowledgeable and experienced, warm and funny. 3 hours flew by.
We were expecting quite a basic session as we are both beginners, but with Dave's guidance we came away feeling as though we had done some 'proper' climbing, with some dedicated teaching and all in a stunningly beautiful place. I couldn't recommend this highly enough. Great value for money too.
