Whats the aim of the Abseiling Activity?
To get you (with the help of an
qualified instructor) abseiling over the edge of either a natural rock face, purpose built climbing wall or in a quarry.
What does the activity include?
The activity includes all specialist equipment, waterproof clothing and instruction.
Where does the experience take place?
have many abseil venues throughout the North West of England, mainly in Lancashire and the Lake District. Also available are climbing walls indoor or moble climbing walls indoor or outdoor.
What should I wear?
Wear something warm like a fleece. Clothing should preferably be something old and not too loose fitting, footwear should ideally be boots or shoes with a grip, but trainers with grip will do as a last resort.
How long should I allow for this experience?
sessions last for 3 hours from start to finish including setting up time.
When does the activity take place?
work 365 day's of the year and have sessions from 9.00am till dusk.
Are there any restrictions?
There are no real restrictions, for individuals with disabilities we will complete a confidential risk assessment and will choose a venue to suit your needs.
What about the weather?
The weather would need to be really bad to stop the abseil
Can I bring spectators?
You can bring spectators; we would advise them of a safe area to view the activity
