axe throwing sessions start with a thorough safety brief, safe spectator area and then moving on to how to hold the axe and throw safely.
After the initial safety talk, individuals are asked to step forward in pairs for practice throws at the targets. At this stage of the session it really doesn't matter if you miss the target completely, its all about getting your stance right and improving your release. Once you are getting the axe into the target its on to aim improvement and the inevitable "FUN" competition.

Filming project - brilliant at accommodating us as always
Aug 2022
We ran a filming project in Coniston in August 2022, which involved gorge scrambling and canyoning with Paul and later axe throwing and archery with Dave. This is the fourth time we've used Adventure21 for our project and once again they were exceptional at accommodating our slightly unusual needs while keeping it fun for everyone. Massive thanks again for playing such a massive part in making it a successful day at our event. Hope to use them again some time soon. :)

My boyfriend and I booked the woodland sports which entailed axe throwing, target shooting and archery. Aaron met us at the car park and walked us to where the activities were being held which was really helpful. As there was just the 3 of us we have a good laugh and we’re able to take our time with activities. We spent 3 hours doing the woodland sports which was just enough time. Afterwards Aaron met us at a different location for gorge scrambling which was AMAZING! We had the best time jumping off waterfalls and Aaron kept the vibe lively by giving us fun tasks to do. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a more friendly/upbeat instructor. Aaron was very attentive and kept the whole day fun. He also took pictures of us the entire day which I thought was great as we didn’t have to get our phone out of our pockets the whole time. This was something I thought really made the day as usually companies charge for that type of thing and I thought it was great that Aaron took them out if kindness as he knew we wanted to enjoy our day and have memories to last.
Again, thanks a lot Aaron for the best day. C&B
