'The Mountain View' Restaurant has a great view of Coniston Old Man and provides excellent local cuisine.


All 24 en-suite bedrooms have colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. The Lake District is a favourite spot for those who enjoy the outdoors, with outdoor pursuits and adventure activities including walking, climbing, water- skiing, sailing, archery, shooting, paintballing and cycling.


For those who prefer a more gentle pace, there are lake cruises and a wealth of historic houses to visit. Licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and partnerships. Fishing is permitted (permit must be bought) from our jetty and lakeside.

Our hotel is centrally situated in the South Lakes, yet less than two hours from Manchester. We are situated half a mile outside Coniston village on the Old Hawkshead Road (B5285).
