The Lake District is a favourite spot for those who enjoy the outdoors, with outdoor pursuits and adventure activities including walking, climbing, water- skiing, sailing and cycling. For those who prefer a more gentle pace, there are lake cruises and a wealth of historic houses to visit. Licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and partnerships. Fishing is permitted (permit must be bought) from our jetty and lakeside.

Our hotel is centrally situated in the South Lakes, yet less than two hours from Manchester. We are situated half a mile outside Coniston village on the Tarn Hows Road (b5285).
For no show and late cancellation, one night will be charged. Waterhead is a smoke free hotel. Smoking is banned throughout the hotel except in the Games Room. Dogs (well behaved) welcome at a charge of 5.00 per night.
