Rope bridge and pontoon building in the Lake District
New activity for 2008 / 2009

Rope bridge and pontoon building in the Lake District

As a team building exercise or just a fun activity our rope bridge and pontoon building sessions are great.

Rope bridge build

Using long thick lengths of polypropylene rope your group have to build a structure that will hold the weight of a person and enable the whole group to pass from one side of the gorge to the other.

Depending on the age and ability of your group you could choose to go for something a little more extreme and conquer a deeper gorge or ravine!

The high level rope bridge is venue dependant at certain times of the year, please call our office for venue options on 01257474467

Pontoon build

With the pontoon build your group need to cross a section of river using long wooden spars, large barrels, ropes and planks.

It’s a tricky exercise as the river can be quite fast moving so planning is essential.

This is potentially a wet exercise so full waterproofs and wetsuits will be supplied.
