HMS AMBUSH charity event supported by Adventure 21
HMS Ambush is a nuclear Submarine based in Barrow in Furness UK and we are currently organising a charity boxing evening in aid of Help For Heroes, Charity Number: 20110518-2325-9362. The Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity, Charity number: 6047294 and Little Acorns Nursery in Ulverston Cumbria UK. Charity Number: 1051872
Help For Heroes is a charity close to all Servicemen/Women’ hearts and have done a remarkable job so far in supporting injured Forces Personnel and their Families.
RNRMC distributes their money evenly between all Naval Charities and as we couldn’t decide on a individual Charity we felt that through the RNRMC we are supporting them all.
Little Acorns is a charity run children’s Nursery in Ulverston Cumbria, We have chosen to support this as it is a small independent charity that doesn’t get a lot of financial support although they do a fantastic job with the children.
The event will be held in The Coronation Hall, Ulverston, South Lakes, Cumbria UK on Thursday 3rd November 2011.
There will be approx 200 people attending the event, the evening will begin with a 3 course meal followed by Eight bouts of boxing between a mix of Amateur, Military and Civilian Personnel. There will also be a Charity Auction between bouts along with various other fundraising activities.
Any prize for our charity auction would be gratefully appreciated by all of us on HMS Ambush as it would certainly go along way to ensuring we made as much money as possible for these 3 fantastic charities.
