After the success of this years Coniston Water festival, plans are already being made for an even bigger and better 2011 festival. This year saw more people visiting the festival and enjoying the many bands, games, competitions and that all important and now famous "Its a Lakes Knockout"
How it all started
The Coniston Water Festival was instituted in the later half of the 19th century has continued with some breaks to the present day.
It celebrates Coniston Water and the people who live in its locality. The Festival is a fusion of the arts, sport, food and a celebration of local enterprise, focused on the water and the unique aspects of water related culture and sport.
Coniston Water Festival Program 2011
The 2011 program will be on here as soon as we can get all the acts and stalls booked, once booked there will be something going on from 12.00pm untill 10.00 pm. One of the important thing,s is that we want teams for the its a Lakes Knockout to sign up as soon as possible, teams of 5 are needed either mixed or lads and girls teams. Get in touch if your interested.
We will also be on the look out for groups or individuals to play music during the day or at night.
