What is Archery?
Archery is a fantastic team activity, either working in one team to achieve your group goal or to compete against another team to win the day!
If you’re a newcomer or beginner to archery dont worry we will start with the basics and work up.
Archery is a great fun activity to give your team to break up the day and can introduce a competitive and motivational aspect to your program.
Archery has been around for years, historians have found evidence that bows and arrows were used even before 25000 BC.
Today archery has developed and is a great sport for a wide range of ages and abilities, either socially for exercise or for competition.
What else can i do?
Archery is a great outdoor adventure activity for a half day session and can be combined with one of the following activities to make a full day, choose from either
abseiling,
rock climbing,
open Canadian canoeing,
canoe sailing,
aquaseiling,
canyoning,
cycling,
gorge scrambling,
kayaking,
mountain biking,
sailing,
river walking,
ghyll scrambling,
waterfall climbing,
orienteering,
navigation,
hill walking,
archery,
rifle shooting,
raft building,
team building tasks,
survival days,
culvert scrambling,
Tyrolean traversing and
bushcraft and wilderness camps.
We have many archery venues in and around Lancashire for example in Chorley, Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, Chorley, Rivington, Anglezarke and Manchester and in Cumbria in particularly around the North Lake District, South Lake District, East Lake District and the West Lake District areas, for example Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere, Keswick, Hawkshead, Kendal, Bowness, Ullswater and Preston to name just a few.
